Did you know?

  • Red pandas feed mainly on bamboo but they are omnivorous and also eat eggs, birds, insects, and small mammals.
  • Red panda's wild population is estimated at less than 10,000 mature individuals.
  • The red panda is endemic to the temperate forests of the Himalayas, and ranges from the foothills of western Nepal to China in the east.
  • Red pandas are known as  Lesser Pandas and Fire Fox, the symbol of Mozila Fire Fox.
The polar bear is often regarded as a marine mammal because it spends many months of the year at sea. However, it is the only living "marine mammal" with powerful, large limbs and feet that allow them to cover miles on foot and run on land.

The polar bear is the largest living species of terrestrial predator. The only other bear of a similar size is the Kodiak bear, which is a subspecies of brown bear. Adult male polar bears weigh 350–700 kg (770–1,500 lb) and measure 2.4–3 m (8–10 ft) in total length. The Guinness Book of World Records listed the average male as having a body mass of 385 to 410 kg (849 to 900 lb) and a shoulder height of 133 cm (4 ft 4 in), slightly smaller than the average cited for male Kodiak bears.

do you know ...

A polar bear is so strong, that it can kill an animal with one blow from it's paw.

Polar bear cubs learn to freeze and remain still while their mother hunts.  If they move, the mother disciples them, with a whack to the head.
